Hello

we are moving to dallas and kind of settled in Coppell as the area we want to be...

we were looking for an house near wilson elementary area and was told by one of the friends (who used to live in irving) to avoid this area - since there are some trailer parks around there...

would like to get an opinion from someone in coppell on this?

Thanks,
tz

Your friend is wrong. I just moved from Coppell after 15 years, there's not a bad school or area in town. There is a trailer park over in the area but Wilson is a highly rated and great school.

I concur. No bad parts of Coppell and no bad schools. I actually did not even know Coppell had trailer homes. That means it is probably uneventful.
It could be a single mom that is super attentive and academically oriented that lives in that one trailer park!

Not all trailer park dwellers are bad (many are)! Maybe just a bit poorer than us that have homes here in Coppell. Homes in Coppell tend to be a bit more expensive than the equivelent home in other burbs!

I have never heard of a bad school in Coppell. If they have a trailer park it is a very small one although I have never heard of one being in the city. Hopefully a resident of the city can shed some light on your concerns.

I don't know where you friend got her info, but I bet people in Coppell and the surrounding areas would question her on facts versus opinions. Coppell is a dream come true for family life and schools.

I have always joked... Coppell has the only trailer park behind a brick wall with a pool. Next they may put up a gate to keep out those riff raff coppell homeowners.

I'd avoid Coppell if I were you...you might get run over by a rabid soccer mom!

my sister lives in Coppell and her sis-in-law kids go to Wilson and they love it. She actually likes the fact that there are some lower income/ESL kids that attend the school. It's a bit more diverse and gives her kids know some kids who aren't just like them.

It's a wonderful family town and has an EXCELLENT school district.
