Took a job in Dallas near where 635 and 75 cross and need advice on best place to rent near the area. I will be relocating from Raleigh, NC. Looking for a newer 1-bedroom, with garage & gated entry. Price range is hopefully under 900/month. I have looked into places in Plano/Frisco areas, but wondered what the commute would be like in that direction. I am also open to any other suggestions of areas or particular complexes that anyone might have.

Check w/ the Stoneleigh Apartments in Garland on N. Garland Ave right off of Hwy 190 aka George Bush Turnpike. You could take 190 to 75 or even side streets all the way w/ several options that way. They are gated w/ garages and very nice. Right across the street is LifeTime Fitness along w/ SuperTarget, Sam's Club, SuperWalmart, Hawaiian Falls WaterPark and many other things yet w/ the nature perserve right behind the apartments w/ walking trails and trees all in the complex.

we are renting in Frisco until we buy and we LOVE it! Vintage at legacy is what it's called. Nice place! I dont know about for your comute though...
