hi all. i'm a pharmacy tech living in arkansas, at present i'm looking for a walmart in the mesquite/garland/plano area to allow me to transfer in. the apartment seach is becoming exhausting. i'm starting to wonder if i should really be trusting the reviews i read on apartment ratings. i just have no idea if these areas are really safe, my husband is already in mesquite working and i send him lists of places to go see, but he still isn't very familiar with the neighborhoods. also i'm pretty sure that i'll be working until at least 9 p.m. (your texas walmart pharmacies close later) and i've looked but i can't find a childcare center that is open late. can anyone help?

Childcare centers around here typically close at 6:30 pm. About the only option you would have then is to have a home childcare person to look after your child.

There is a SuperWalmart right next to a Sam's Club in Garland on N. Garland Ave at Hwy 190 (aka George Bush Turnpike). This is a VERY nice area that is growing like crazy. There is a SuperTarget across the street and Hawaiian Falls Waterpark a block away. A block from the SuperWallyWorld is an apartment complex called The Stoneleigh. VERY NICE!!! My cousin and her family lived there for a year recently after moving back from out of state. It is gated w/ walking trails, a gym and pools. Most of them have garages. I know my cousin looked at all of them in the area and liked these the best. I live VERY close by to here, on the other side of Hwy 190 in the Firewheel area.

Good luck with your search
