Well that's what I'm hoping.

Unfortunately it may be true we are in a long term or permanent warming trend. As is the summer was hotter than usual and the winter is hotter than usual. I'm hoping this is not indicative of another blazing summer.

And of course everyone in the back their can't help but think about 2012 ...

Hope it doesn't sound picky, but we didn't come remotely close to the all-time Dallas record for 24 hour rain, which is a whopping 9.57" set in 1932. What we set was a daily record, and a record for most rain in a 24hour period during January.

"All-time record" means the entire period of record, and they are generally rare.

The last all-time record I can remember breaking was the all-time record warm low, which stood for 72 years before being broken last summer. The all-time record high is 113 set in 1980, and will probably remain for a while even if we are warming in general.

Plano is still asking residents to follow Stage 3 water restrictions.

It hit 113.4 last summer at DAL. It's just that it's not an official station, but DFW had to have been close.

Actually, last summer the high at KDAL was 111 on August 3rd just before 4pm local. KDAL's all-time high record was also set in 1980, and while close was not tied or broken either.

I would be interested to know if you can remember how you obtained your erroneous reading for KDAL, as it would help me narrow down this problem for others in the future. The only common source of this confusion I have found is people that use weather.com don't realize that there are ways that site will give you various back yard/school/personal weather station readings instead of official NWS weather readings such as those from KDAL or KDFW. Weather.com is a great site for weather maps etc... but a terrible site for checking for checking exact temps from specific stations.

The weather prediction is wrong, as in most of the time. Where did all the overnight rain go?

I was on WeatherUnderground. I did change stations occasionally and thought I was on KDAL at the time, but maybe my memory is failing me.
