There has been a constant lowering temperature trend in the last few years in Dallas area, which is a welcome sign.

Are we expecting Dallas to be bay area weather like?

What am I missing?

+1 to lonestar12.

This is exactly why I moved to DFW from Chicago. Absolutely beautiful weather. Constant sunshine and constantly hot.

Beautiful to sit outside at night and get a great cool breeze. Perfect for swimming in a nice cool pool and catching some rays. I could go on and on.

I grew up here. I'm over it.

I think Dallas' summers are slightly more tolerable than Phoenix's, but both are unpleasant.

In Phoenix, the unrelenting heat starts in May, whereas Dallas' Mays are usually pleasant. The first 100 degree day most years in Phoenix happens by about May 20.

Phoenix does not start to feel pleasant until about the 2nd week of October. Depending on the year in Dallas, about the 1st to 2nd week of October feels good here. That's probably why the State Fair starts around then.

I know and feel that DFW is getting hotter, despite what the temperatures say. Still tolerable but just about. Every year we inch closer to getting intolerable.

Better than the snowstorms but we are no paradise of perfect weather.

I lived in the Northeast for 4 years. You are right, it's definitely getting ridiculously hot and almost intolerable, but this is a lot better than snowstorms

Actually this year has been relatively "pleasant" compared to years past. Just think about 2011...

Now where is highcotton? On the golf course at noon, I guess?

I'm from the midwest and the dreary, cold winters were depressing. I hate driving on snowy, icy roads. Since I've moved here I haven't had to do it much, but when we get those ice storms I feel like it's worse than the snowstorms we got up north.
