The laundromats I normally use (Abrams Wash & Dry on Forest Ln. and Coin Laundry on Skillman--northeast Dallas) weren't that great to begin with and have recently taken a turn for the worse. Whenever I use either place my clothes smell funny (detergent+strange sour smell) when I bring them home, which is gross and super annoying. I'd be willing to travel reasonably far distances and pay more to do my laundry at a place that takes care of their machines and is hygenic. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't take this crap anymore!!

note: My laundry is never that dirty, so I know it's the machine's fault.

I have never seen a laundromat that was nice. I would suggest you find a very nice apartment complex and use there washer/dryers. Is getting a personal unit out of the question.

At the Coit and Spring Valley intersection next to El Rancho Supermercado is a newer laundrymat that I heard it is nice from a neighbor whose washing machine suddenly broke. There are actually 5 or so laundrymats at that interestion, but the one by Supermercado is the newest. It's like 2 doors down to the right if you are looking at the front door of Supermercado.

awesome, thanks so much. That intersection is about 3miles away from my apartment complex, I'll check it out later today.
lol I've never seen a nice one either! no, I don't have washer/dryer capability in my current apartment--it's an efficiency. hmm nice apartment complexes, good idea. I'll be on the look out.
thanks guys

Haier makes washing machines that you can hook into the sink faucet, etc ...

Walmart.com: Haier 8.8-lb. 1.6 cu. ft. Capacity Portable Top-Load Clothes Washer: Appliances

Some might consider it better than going to the laundromat.

the laundrymat at Abrams & Mockingbird is decent. It is in the southwest corner, behind the Primacare.
