I live in Plano and I'm looking at moving sometime in the next 4-6 months, and I'm trying to decide whether to move to another part of Plano (like farther north of Park, probably near Coit) or to move farther south into Dallas.

Ideally, I'd like to live between 75 and the Tollway--because it seems so central. In Dallas, I've been looking at the Northwood Hills area (75240) and east of White Rock Lake (75214)... (yes, east of 75). I'm looking for something < $250k that is on a slightly larger lot (.2 or .3 acres) and is 1-story. I don't care about the age of the property.

Any comments about these areas? Recommendations? Thanks!
