I really am in need of a wedding venue that isn't expensive. But has some character. . . I am open to anything. . .

It also depends on how many are attending. Often pricing comes down to a per person amount - like $50/person, $100/person.

And beyond that, there are so many variables - the biggest expense is alcohol: open bar, beer/wine only, champagne toast only, cash bar.

Do you have any idea what you want your wedding to look like?

This is in Plano on Central. I think you can bring your own food in which would make it cheaper.
Fairview Farms Marketplace Plano - Party Facility, Rent Houses, Farmers Market

Look at the corral barn. Here's the brochure:

We got married at The Tribute Golf Course in The Colony and there are packages available in your price range. It turned out beautiful and all our guests had a yummy dinner and open bar. I would recommend having your wedding either on a Sunday or Friday evening to help you stay in your price range.

I see lots of weddings at Round Grove Chapel in Lewisville. I would check out Market Street for catering. They are really close by there. They do floral, food, etc. They've catered some nice things, however, I'm unsure of the price. You can always go to lake Lewisville for pictures.

Good luck.
