Oh yeah, don't forget the neighborhood fire ants!!!!!!!! What a joy to be bitten by several of those!!!!! OFF never stopped a fire ant... the only "off" is to wipe them "off"

boric acid powder mixed with jelly works well for all ants except the fire ants you need nematodes for those "bad boys"

Try Diatomaeous Earth (DE) it's naturall and will work as long as it doesn't get wet; use in cabinets around carpet and outside even dust the dog with it... it won't harm them.

You won't have to worry about chiggers unless your out going across fields or woods or in a garden that is not treated w/ pesticides. Chiggers are not something that is common in your average yard at all. Now go down to the lake and the garden there in a wet swimsuit and you might get a few in the "tight spots" where your swimsuit is.

IMO the best lakes are in Austin area being that it is in the "hill country". But Cedar Hill has a wonderful view of Joe Pool Lake off it's hill top area and it has a beautiful state park and preserve...all of this is off of Hwy 1382 (Beltline). If you want sand, try the costal areas like Corpus Christi it all depends on what part of Texas you are going to visit and how long you will be staying...Texas is big!

PS Don't forget your OFF

Mix a heaping tablespoon full with water in a sprayer and water your lawn with it. It stinks but it works. Inside the home use DE around basebroad and sprinkle into carpet from a salt shaker.
