Anyone have good or bad experiences getting their scheduled maintenance for a Honda? I gotta take mine in for the 30K check up and would like to find an honest one around Dallas/Richardson/Plano.

TIA!

B~

Lute isn't bad. If you want a good dealership alternative try The Hondew shop. They're right over there by Texas Instruments. It's a shop run by former Honda techs that wanted to open their own shop. Very knowledgable guys.

I have always found that Lute Riley service was substantially more expensive than others... my daughter actually called me in tears after a visit to them. I sent her to John Eagle where she got the same repair for less than half the price.

Could have been, not sure. I know an oil change with the works is around $100.00. But, I purchased my vehicle there so I take it back there. I guess I could always go somewhere else. But they are fast and do good work there.

I live in Frisco and have my Element serviced at David McDavid. They have saved me more $. I went the independent route (long story) and when I started to suspect something was wrong I took it over to McDavid. I dealt with Randy and let me tell you I am not going anywhere else for my service. You will really like dealing with him. I promise!

Here's what a friend of mine says about her Honda mechanic...

"Hondew, in Richardson near TI, roughly Spring Valley and Central.
They only work on Hondas (or Acuras, in the same family), but my family has been going to them for 20 years or so. They are very knowledgeable, honest, and will tell you when things are starting to go out but will give you a straight-forward answer in whether it needs to be done now or can wait awhile. And I have always been very happy with the quality of work, and the price...cheap cheap, especially compared with all the crap that was always going wrong with our other non-Honda."

You need to take your car to Danny’s Import. They work on Hondas and Acuras only and they are very honest and a lot less than dealers. A mechanic friend of knows people there and recommended that place to me. They are located in Lewisville off I-35 and 121. Honda & Acura Auto Repair – Lewisville and Hurst, Texas.
