Where's the best place to live, if I work in Southlake, that's close to where Young Professionals live/hang out?

I work in Southlake near the intersection of 114 and 121 Highway (basically the very tip of Southlake, one step and you're in Grapevine). If you need a reference point you can put in:
2905 E Southlake Blvd, Southlake, TX‎

I'm looking at apartments from that intersection all the way down till you hit Dallas (I figure apartments off the highway will be easier for my commute). My price range is up to $700 but I can tag on another 200 if it's in the right place.

My main priority is to find a location where there's many other young professionals, and I'm just not sure if there's a place like that in Southlake/Grapevine - please help!

Thank you.

Far, but uptown on mckinney between #'s 2000-4000 would be my personal preference. look for apts close to those. knox-henderson area is also fun, but a bit further up. it's not as easy to walk everywhere in the knox henderson area (from waht i've seen)

lots of younger people in Grapevine, Lewisville around Grapevine Mills mall, Las Colinas area off 114 is not a bad commute since much of time you are going against the flow
Southlake itself has no apts, but downtown FTW is trendy

I would suggest starting with FTW, then Las Colinas and the area around Grapevine Mills. There are some awesome apartment in that area, i think the address is probably Grapevine, but it might even be Flower Mound, I doubt that.

There are a couple nice looking apartment buildings just down 2499 from Grapevine Mills Mall that I believe are technically Flower Mound.

Are you interested in an area that’s lively and happening? Or do you want a place that's nearby and convenient?

I think the one directly adjacent to the mall is in Grapevine, and the one they just built down the road is Flower Mound. Both are nice, I drive by them every day.

Uptown Dallas to Grapevine/Southlake would be a HORRIBLE commute. NO WAY would I recommend someone in their right mind do that 6 days a week! Downtown FtW will be about the same commute with TONS of traffic on Airport Freeway. Again, I can't recommend it.

Las Colinas has a lot of young professionals. Commute wouldn't be as bad, but there is a lot of traffic on 114 at rush hours.

The apartments near Graepvine Mills would be pretty good. Also. look for the small apartment groups that are scattered near downtown Grapevine. They are cute and downtown Grapevine has good nightlife.

I'd say downtown Ft. Worth/Sundance Square area.
