I am single in my late twenties and just got a new job with the police deparment. I will make around 40k a year and looking for a good place to rent while I look for a house. I would like a commute under 40 min and try to live somewhere where I can meet other singles. I'm not real pickey just as long as is is somewhat descent and close to bars I'm from Boston and enjoy the nightlife any help would be great.

You should try Knox-Henderson or Addison.
Both are young, diverse, have lots of bars and clubs, and lots of fun.
With Knox-Henderson, youre also close the CityPlace Station on the Red line of the DART.

Where in Boston do you live right now? I read the post and we are in the same situation. I am 28 , love the nightlife, moving from Brighton to Dallas - Uptown. It's about like commuting in from Framingham and just about as suburban. You'll find it to be a much easier drive though, less jammy, less combative, and of course, no snow. I wouldn't bank on a big nightlife out there though. There is a very big lake there though. Dunno if there's any social scene about it - might be!

So it sounds like Addison then. How r the girls out there? I had to go to Arkansas for my academy (Federal Police Officer) and I was pretty horrified some where hot but alot of trailer park girls.
