I am looking to borrow some funds to put an addition on an existing house. When I got the good faith estimate back it seemed to have a lot of charges I was not familiar with. Loan is for $346,000 upon the refi, 4.83% rate. Charges are as follows: Loan fee - 1% then process fee -$375, under writing fee $495, Funding fee $195, close fee $300, document prep $240 and a whopping $2125.00 for title policy fees.

Yep, those are closing costs. If you use the same title company you used when you purchased your house and your lender agrees, the title policy fee can go down drastically.
