Who here in the Dallas Metro has vaccinated their child for the H1N1? I am back a forth with this. I have a fifteen year old daughter, with mild asthma.

Yes or no?

I have a 10 year old with asthma. Right now her specialist is the ONLY doctor she sees that has the vaccine. The only thing is the times that are available to take her to get it. Then I'm not real sure on it myself. She DOES get the seasonal flu vaccine as we all do in our family. The less she is exposed to it the lower her chances of getting it. We already got that vaccine.

Trying to get the shot is harder than trying to decide if one should get it or not, imo.

I wouldn't recommend it for numerous reasons.

But the fact is it has mutated and STILL isn't a MSM news outlet, RussiaToday has a video report. Some interesting highlights: Roughly every third citizen there wears a protective mask. On Sunday, the country’s leadership called on other countries to help Ukraine in the fight against the epidemic, as it has now been classed as a threat to national security. Prime-Minister Timoshenko ...swindlers in privately-owned pharmacies are selling it to people at ten times the price,” she told journalists on Friday. Over a hundred have died since the outbreak of the virus last week.

There are rumours that Baxter pharma purposly sent out some contaminated vaccines, a microbiologist from israel tried to expose them. There is video footage of him being tear gassed 2 weeks right before the outbreak happened in the Ukraine. There is also a Spanish nun who speaks out about this.

Our doctor has the shots, but limiting to high risk and child. I am torn. As a mother I want to protect her, but how by giving her the shot or by not giving her the shot.

There's always

The main danger is the adjuvant squalene. It hypes the immune system.
If you have squalene, the chance's increase a cytokine storm enhanced, and then the flu can be described as hemorrhagic. This means your soft organs are attacked - and due to the avian flu's operating temperature, this means your lungs.

If you have the squalene - chances are the flu will turn hemorrhagic, if it does, chances are it will be fatal.

The flu in Ukraine at the moment appears to have a high incidence of hemorrhagic results, I would recommend NOT getting a shot with squalene in it.

Better option is pneumonia vaccination followed with plenty of sunlight and citrus, vit D and C.

Voted no but I'm torn. As of now we wouldn't be able to get it at her ped's office anyways so that takes it out of my hands. I know several kids who have had H1N1 and were (and are) fine. In fact it lasted only for 3 or 4 days, as opposed to the "regular" seasonal flu, which can knock you out for a week or more.

Cupcake, I remember you got very sick with it. What about your family? Was it like what I'm hearing from friends whose kids were fine after a few days?

People need to start reading the actual facts about this Vaccine before getting too skeptical.

The question, as far as I can see, when it comes to whether or not you should get it, should be about whether or not it's needed. If you usually take the seasonal flu vaccine, because of medical reasons (Asthma etc) then you should, as you'd be in a slightly higher risk group. However, if you've never taken a seasonal flu shot before, and never had any serious and bad rounds of the flu, there will in most cases not be much trouble with this strain of flu either.

What separates the H1N1 flu from the regular seasonal flu is a (so far) slightly higher death ratio, but not dramatically so, the people who die from it (younger males seem to be more at risk, especially if they have Asthma or other complications) as opposed to the regular old and sick and lastly, that it seems to be able to spread a decent amount faster.

That being said, most people who get H1N1 actually do experience a milder case of the flu than the seasonal one, often times being out of bed again after only 3-4 days.

In other words, this IS a pandemic, but NOT the one we should be afraid of. Flu viruses mutate constantly which is why most scientists and doctors agree it's only a matter of time before we face a far more dangerous strain. If the Avian flu that came about a couple of years ago develops the contagiousness of the H1N1 flu, we're facing a far bigger killer.

As for the Vaccine: It was indeed made fairly fast, but it is in essence just a modified version of the seasonal flu vaccine, they've done nothing else to this than the regular modifications they make every year.

There ought not to be any significantly worse side effects of this than the regular flu vaccine, it's important to remember than any case of serious side effect you hear about in the media regarding this vaccine could also happen with a seasonal flu shot, only then it's not newsworthy.

Get the shot if your children usually get the seasonal flu shot because of lungs and airway deceases, if you don't usually get them the flu shot, and they don't suffer any illness that would increase the "effectiveness" of the H1N1 flu, then there's not really much more of a danger to get this round of the flu, the likelyhood of them getting it is just higher.

As for myself, I'm a 24 year old man, with Asthma and various allergies and as such in the high risk group, but I'm not getting the vaccine as I'm not from here, and I'm completely calm about it, because even in "my" high risk group, most who get it are survivors.

Have a nice day people!

Getting the vaccine or not, time will tell

the virus/vaccine is relying on the persons immune system to do the damage, it is the cytokin storm that creates the pneumonia LIKE disease, it will come out in media as Pneumonia, cytokin storm is an over loaded immune response, your bodies antigenes are attacking everything, incuding your own antigenes (or cells)

recently jospeh moshe tried to warn us of a plauge caused from some contamined vaccines. He was deported and not heard from since, He predicted in aug what is exactly happening now in the Ukraine.

But I am not worried, I have seen videos of some really nice FEMA camps scattered all over the US. Maybe we can all make smores.
