This is interesting under The Tornado Project web site:

Okay, okay, so if trailers don't attract tornadoes, why do so many trailer parks get hit by tornadoes?

There are probably hundreds(maybe more than a thousand) very small tornadoes that touch down in the USA every year, but are not recorded because they do no damage. However, since a mobile home flips over so easily in even the weakest tornado, trailers probably act as "mini tornado" detectors. This makes it seem like tornadoes are attracted to mobile homes, but that is because trailers are the only things that reveal the presence of what would otherwise be an unrecorded event.

One thing for certain, I wouldn't live in one ever but especially not in a tornado prone area.

Vehicles are not safe either.

Here are some tornado photos from May 12, 2000. The most devastation was done in Bosque County and two fatalities were reported. One poor man was killed when he was thrown up in a tree and his wife died days later of severe injuries. It was an F2 with 206 mph winds.

I was minding my own business cleaning out closests when I got a phone call from a neighbor. Mind you, I didn't have the TV on and it was not raining. She said a tornado was spotted 2 miles west of us so like a mad woman, I flew out the back door and went down into my storm cellar. If I had stopped to look down the road and across the Lake, I would have seen it as many of my neighbors did.

Before long, there were about 20 people in my cellar, some I didn't even know. Luckily, the tornado continued away from us, but did it's damage across Lake Whitney in Bosque County.

My son was working not far from the lake at the time and my sister lives not far from where he was working. They were both watching it, and they thought it was fascinating. NOT!!

Anyway, my son's boss' wife took photos of it, and I've attached a few of them including my son holding some hailstones from the storm.
