places that aren't hot? (Dallas, Lubbock: bus, property, areas)

I was just curious.....are there any areas in the state of Texas that are not that hot all year round? Are there any foothills maybe somewhere? I like a change of seasons.....do they have that anywhere in Texas?

How about from zero to 110, is that enough change for ya? Seriously, Dallas can and does have both... with a little mild thrown in there in between.

Try the panhandle - Amarillo, Lubbock. They get more winter than we do in Dallas

This is Texas; there are places that have more winter and less summer. But it's gonna get hot just about everywhere here during the summer. Amarillo and the northern panhandle will be less hot, but still hot. And most of north Texas (including Dallas area) will not be hot in the winter. At least most of the time it won't be.

But you won't find foothills in the Panhandle....maybe some gullies, but they'll be on private property.

There are butte's in the Panhandle of Texas though and a BIG canyon.
