I'm looking for great upscale venues/locations to hold my outdoor wedding. I don't like The Crescent so that one is out so anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've always thought it would be cool to be married on the steps of the Hall of State, then the bronze doors open to a fabulous reception inside -- I'd have a big band playing some Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, etc.

Also the new Wyly Theater Rooftop patio, Fuse Restaurant-Bar, Dakota's, Live Oak Bar at the Ritz, Joule Hotel Pool -- depends on the size -- Mansion Restaurant also has a patio...

Hmm, not too many exclusively outdoor options (besides the already mentioned Arboretum), but these all have indoor/outdoor spaces:

-Arlington Hall at Lee Park
-Penthouse @ The Stoneleigh Hotel
-Hotel Zaza (outside space is by the pool)
-Mansion on Turtle Creek
-Belo Mansion (can have cocktail hour outside on patio)
-Nasher Sculpture Garden
-DMA (no outside space, but a great venue)
-Maple Manor (good for small weddings, 75 guests or so). Ceremony is held in garden.
-Alexander Mansion on Swiss Avenue- outdoor ceremony

I think you are new to Dallas, right? Assuming you realize that a Saturday evening upscale wedding will easily run $50-100k for venue fee, catering & bar, rentals (tents, tables, etc), mandatory security officers and valet attendants many venues require, and the lovely 8.25% sales tax and 20% gratuity fees. I believe the min to use Arlington Hall is around $50k for peak months.

Yes I'm new here and thanks for your detailed info once again. You've been very helpful thanks so much and there is a unlimited budget for the wedding so any space at any cost will be fine, just want to get the best space for the money.

This looks about perfect as I would need space for a cocktail hour following the ceremony. Thanks again for your tremendous help and anything you feel I should know please don't hesitate to inform me.
