I am thinking of moving to Texas Dallas in January. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am 29 with 2 kids and my SO will be working in Irving. We have a house here that we can't sell so until we can sell it we will be living in an apt in the dallas/fort worth area. Our mortgage is 1000/month and we are looking for a 1000/ month 3-4 bedroom house to rent until we can sell our home. We need it to be in a good schoold district, Our kids are 7&9. I want it to be close to Irving but somewhere where I can get a job at a callcenter. I have a degree in business.

So my questions are how is the economy? Where is the best convenient place to live near Irving that has a good school district and reasonable rent. Also, we are an interracial couple so are there any suburbs that have a nice mix of ethnicities?

Thank you so much for helping me out.

Be careful with the school districts as the school district boundaries do not follow city boundaries.

If I were you I would look at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Lewisville ISD, Coppell ISD, Keller ISD and possibly Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD.

I would avoid Dallas ISD, Irving ISD, Grand Prairie ISD and Arlington ISD.

FND is right on with the schools. In your price range Coppell is probably out of the question but those others should offer you a good choice. Personally, I like Lewisville & Euless Bedford.

Irving really has a good school district but has to spend a lot of money & resources with the many kids who don't speak English.

From what you've posted, I would think HEB ISD would be your sweet spot.

Thanks I am looking at HEB. Their school district looks very nice. Saw the stats and they look great. Hopefully I will be able to find a house to rent in that school district..
