Hello

I am looking at working by the Galleria, and I am looking for housing in Plano, Frisco or Allen. Mapquest says about 20min commute for each of these. Is this accurate? I am looking for fairley new housing built 2000 or later in the 200,000 range and these places seem to be good but I don't want to spend an hour commuting morning and night. Are there other areas I'm not seeing? Any advice would be appreciated.

West Plano would be the closest, then Frisco and Allen would be furthest, mostly because it woudln't be practical to take the tollway, you would have to deal w/commuter traffic on 635 and 75. You should be able to find something in your price range.

You can double the time that Mapquest gives you for rush hour commutes. If there is a wreck or weather situation, you can triple the time. For what you are looking for I would look at Frisco first, then West Plano (might be too expensive for a newer house) and then Allen. There is not a straight shot from Allen to the Galleria.

Carrollton/Farmer's Branch/Richardson/Irving/Coppell/Addison and West Plano are not going to be possible in the price range for newer construction (after 2000).

In Murphy there are a few, definitely Frisco. If those 2 don't fit you, try Sachse and Wylie, they are a little further east but have more to choose from. I only checked up to 200K...
