Does anyone know if the Toll on President George Bush Turnpike/TX-161 North near Valley View Ln is functioning or not. I drove past the Toll today and did not see a lane open for self service or manned booth. Only the Toll Tag lanes were open.

Is Toll Tag lane the only option if I have to drive through this route?

Thanks.

161 is cashless. If you don't have a toll tag, the rate is higher, and they will send you a bill in the mail. The cameras take a picture of your license plate and the bill goes to the registered owner.

Thanks for the information.

My friend rented a car and drove through the tollway few times and did not realize that the rental car did not have a Toll Tag. So, in his case, the toll bill statement will be sent to the Rental Car Company. I have asked him to follow up with the car rental company on this.

Sucks to be him. The rental company is going to charge him an administrative fee for the honor of giving the NTTA his information.

The typical affect of George Bush, when it comes to rates.

They should name that toll "161 Bush Wall Street Turmoil".

One of the smoothest roads to drive on if you have a sports car or foreign it feels like your flotaing on air.

I guess he knows how to take your money right from under you.(smooth)
