Hello all - We are a married couple in our 30's w/ no kids, recently moved to the area from DC...we're looking for something to do at night or on the weekends. Like outdoor activities and nightlife.

Most people have suggested restaurants, but we're looking for places like: a martini bar, happy hours, lounge w/ a good DJ, live music, or places for recreational adult dance lessons. Suggestions???

For outdoor activities, are there places to go hiking or join rec. sports leagues?

Any suggestions will be appreciated...no joke, we are totally bored and in need of something to do on the weekends...

Thx much!
JW

Park and Victor Tango on Henderson both have excellent drink menus. Sometimes Park has a DJ; not sure if it's every weekend, though.

Outdoors - go hike in Glen Rose at Dinosaur Valley State Park.

Loratliff...Big? yes, we've noticed. We temporarily live in Frisco, but will be moving to Addison in a month or two. We are looking for anywhere in our area all the way to somewhere downtown.

Since you are already almost in Oklahoma (being in Frisco) - check this place out: TPWD: Eisenhower State Park in Texas near the border.

Honestly, Frisco and Addison are not known for their natural scenery...no wonder you are bored!!! White Rock Lake (in Dallas) area has trails (flat, though), bike paths, etc.

Henderson Ave is nightlife central - Park and Barcadia next to each other at McMillan. Closer to Central (I-75) is Tei Tei (DJ sometimes), Victor Tango (has more of an upscale sports bar atmosphere, but excellent drinks). You'll also find pubs on Henderson.

It's the fish hatchery area of White Rock Lake with the wooded trails.

Go to www.meetup.com and put in your zip code. There are tons of groups meeting and you might like several of them. Ex: Argentine Tango, Frisco Couples Friends, etc.

I was just in Frisco and there was a huge crowd at the Irish Rover Pub - St. Patty's day and all. It's on Gaylord Parkway just north of the Stonebriar mall.

Memphis in Addison on Belt Line is a popular place.
Welcome to Memphis Club and Shuck and Jive!!

I'll second Park on Henderson in Dallas.
