I will soon be transferring to Coppell for work. I have scoured the forums and apartment websites for days and have yet to reach any solid conclusions on what is good/bad. I would ideally like to stay in the Coppell ISD area as my job will be just on the west side of North Lake in Coppell.

But I haven't ruled out any of the surounding areas either. It seems that I find a great apt. and the elementary school rating is 5/10 or vice versa.

Please help!!! Right now I am considering Townlake/Creek apts. in coppell (are these junky), St. Marin (how is the school for that area?), AMLI on the Fairways (school info would help).

I am most concerned with it being a safe, walking-friendly neighborhood with a great school (2nd grade).

Sorry for the lenghty post, but there is so much conflicting info out there. Thanks in advance.

If I recall the Townlake ones are the only ones in Coppell ISD. We stayed there 15 yrs ago when we moved to town. We just built a house and was pleased with our time last year at St Marin. There are some good ones along Beltline near SM but all are not in Coppell ISD.

One of the ways to maintain a very good school district is to limit apartments. Not sure of your budget but you might check out LaVillita, the feed into LV Elem which is new and a very good school.

agree that the three best ISDs in the area--Southlake-Carroll ISD, schools in Colleyville area of GCISD, and those in Coppell--have least exposure to children from apartments...
lots of factors enter into why apartment students can cause lower test standings in local schools..
