Considering a move around the Dallas area im married with a 3 year old girl i was just wondering what are the good and bad things about the area. Crime,schools,things to do,prices,etc...

Do you live in Texas now? If not, you may want to check out the property taxes. There is no state income tax, but they more than make up for that with the outrageous property taxes.

Eh I disagree with the previous poster. I don't consider the property tax to be insane at all. The better schols, the fact that I get way more house for the buck and of course as you mentioned the no state income tax....combined all of these make TX a better choice than most East Coast cities. I actually make the exact same salary salary I did back east have my money goes so much further.
PS: I also find gas and groceries to be cheaper.
