thats pretty standard for top and bottom full braces. (usually phase II) Should include all visits, retainers, and most will include repair of about 3-4 brackets.
It was the same for my daughter who just need minor "tweeking" (her phase I did most of the work!)
And for #2 daughter who need mush more exetensive phase II work...(she too had extensive phase I work) 2nd expander, tooth work, bands etc and a bit of surgury at the end.

1 place did quote us signifigantly lower than the other other 4 places...and weren't going to address the issues our previous ortho in VA had pointed out that #2 still needed.
Needless to say we DID not go with them. I usually get 4 referals and have them do a consult and toss out the ones that just don't seem on the same page as the others...

Also MOST should give you a 5% discount if you pay in full up front. We used a HSA for this and helped save $ and finance cost.

For minor issues, $5000 is a good quote. Sometimes insurance covers up to $2000.

@5stones, could you please share the name of your doctor. I am looking for one in the Plano/Frisco area. Thanks!

My daughter ortho charged me $4182.00, insurance paid $1500.00 and I can make monthly payments with no interest. And can make large payments if needed throughout her treatment. They are a super great bunch, private practice in Garland. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a great ortho in the North Garland area.

MBebe...
Mine is in Keller sorry.
Check out the Frisco online msg board as someone suggested I am sure residents there have some great rec's.
Also just ask the parents of kids who have braces...they will either LOVE thier ortho or hate them. It's seems there is no middle ground on this subject!
Good luck.

Is it Dr. George? Just about everyone around here goes to him.
