YES! Plenty of better burgers in Dallas IMO. Mooyah, Smash Burgers, Scotty P's, Londener. Just to name a few.

I was expecting something so much better then what I had. Cali folks don't know good hamburgers at all.

I still haven't been to In and Out, but I love Scotty P's. Had a bad experience with Smash Burgers. Loved it when I was there, suffered later. I think it was the oil.

I tried In and Out today. Good fast food burger and you can tell the ingredients are fresh (the lettuce, tomatoes, and onion do stand out), but probably not worth the hype. I really did not care for the fries at all.

This thread is horse abuse! You're all beating them and they're already dead!

I have comments about the TX v. CA thing but I'm going to keep them to myself and not stir the pot.

Let me know when you go to L.A. and I'll give you the names of some excellent burger places to try.

dont understand the hype. burger is okay, but way too greasy. the fries are awful and undercooked. to get them cooked "well done" requires sitting around for what seems like an eternity. and when i get my usual XL diet coke, the cup doesnt fit in my cup holder.

burger street and braums are light years better.

XL diet coke? Really? I'll chalk it up to 'Merrica! And the cup not fitting in your cup holder? I want to call that a first world problem, but I think it's just a U.S. problem. I find Braums to be far greasier than In n Out, but that is just me.

An ounce of common sense would tell you that you can't compare I&O to the restaurants you mentioned, as those cost a minimum of double what I&O costs. If someone asked you if you liked Taco Bell, would you tell them no because Cantina Laredo is better? Brain up and get back on topic...
