I'm thinking it was the OP who is "trigger happy". He's already tried, convicted, and executed the officer involved, when clearly doesn't know the true FACTS of the incident.

Please, that cop pulled the trigger because that young man said something he didn't like. The cop is real tough guy alright a statute should be made honoring his courageous effort to single handling shoot numerous times and kill an 18 year old. The intent was to kill the young man and he did just that. "Yes" a real stand up guy. Cops are rude and love to provoke because they feel they are above the law. Not a big deal because it was a black kid that was killed. The public was screaming to get those kids behind the honor student death and even falsely accused and treated badly a man that had nothing to do with the murder. All you have to do as I stated before is add a “Black Face” and he becomes public enemy number one.

I send my condolences to the Eric Foresster family and I do hope those that commited the crime recieve the maxium punishment.

I send my condolences to the Clevontae Reynolds family that lost there son due to a trigger happy officer that feels the only way to solve a problem is with violent force.

Were you there? You make it sound like you were a witness.

Most cops are good people trying to serve and protect. There will always be rogue cops. Most black kids are trying to make a good life for themselves. There will always be a handful of troublemakers.

The reality is that it's not always black and white. It's a matter of good vs. evil. People come in one extreme to the other. Don't paint any group with a single stroke of the brush.

LOL, that amused me greatly. This fine young "gang" member just happened to be strolling around with a gun in his waist band and was completely innocent. The facts will come out, but I'm not gonna throw the cop under the boss when a gang member gets shot who was reaching for a gun. Lol if cops shot people because of something they said there wouldn't be much of a criminal population anymore

And someone else said it as well, but off duty police have a DUTY to protect life if it comes into jeopardy.

And Mr. Kdogg please let me know when you respond to a call and a gangbanger is attempting to go for his weapon, let me know what other option you are going to give him, telling him to be nice and we can talk our way out of this doesn't always happen. Sorry that officer, like all officers are going home to his family that day/night no matter what.

Way to bring in the race card.

I don't think it would have mattered if the teen was white or black. If you're pulling for a gun, then he had every right to do what he was trained to do.

If the 18 year old was carrying a gun, as a neighbor who witnessed the event stated, the officer was COMPLETELY justified in shooting him.

As for the man that was accused of being involved in the Forrester murder, he is a criminal that is still in jail for aggravated robbery, so don't try to tell us this guy is a saint.

I saw this on the news lastnight and the neighbors said the kid did not have a gun. Now they are saying he did have a gun. Not enough facts for me to make a judgement one way or another.

Whether he did or didn't have a gun is really immaterial. What matters is that, in a volatile situation, when a cop tells you to do something, do it. And don't make sudden movements.

There will be time to sort it all out later. But cops have to make split-second decisions that mean the difference between driving home and being driven to the morgue. And cops will choose to go home.

As I said earlier, instead of vilifying a cop who was just doing his job, why not turn that anger on the culture itself?

But that would require effort and energy and some hard looks and decisions, so it's just easier to blame someone else, right?
