The corporate headquarters in Lone Star is filmed in my building, Saint Ann Court. Most of the Hollywood types have been pretty pushy. It's amazing how many behind the scenes people there were to shoot a scene in the elevator and lobby. It was nothing short of 100 people.

The view from this building looks like something out of NYC:

The second phase of the project is slated to include a 300-room European-designed hotel, according to the website. Hollywood Grill, designed around Hollywood memorabilia, and an Italian restaurant called Old Tuscany will make up the third and fourth phases, the site says. A shopping center, bank, gas station and a fast food restaurant will be part of future phases, the site says.
Most movie and television studios make money from ancillary developments, such as hotels, restaurants and shopping space, Burklund said.
Finding land for production studios can be tricky because producers typically want to be close to downtown areas, but large land tracts are rarely available close in, she said. She added that Frisco, about 30 miles from downtown Dallas, might be farther north than some producers want.

I wish they would have considered south/southeast Dallas. There's lots of land out there and it would help provide the economic boom South Dallas so desperately needs. Not to mention the natural scenery is just so much nicer.

The Chase pilot featured The Shrine of East Dallas about 44 minutes in -- it was presented as an Odessa high school..
