Is buying a house in Las Colinas a good investment? It seems the property tax is the highest in DFW area considering special Las Colinas HOA + DUCRD tax. Also I heard Las Colinas is getting into serious debt problem. Thanks for sharing your insight in advance!

You can't beat the location and several of the schools are highly rated. It depends where in Las Colinas you are talking about buying. There have been a lot of people move into the La Villita, Riverside and the New Lakes of LC from areas that are farther out because of it's great location.

Just last year I sold our home in Coppell & moved to LC. I know of at least 5-6 couples who did the same.

Taxes here are about normal for Dallas Cty and I have not heard any rumors about Debt. I suspect with all the businesses in LC, their income / tax base is very good and solid.
