Wrong. Not to change the subject of this thread but there are a few Texas counties who levy an annual property tax on cars and trucks. Some can be quite stiff.

On leased vehicles only, I believe.

I'm not familiar with the property tax on leased vehicles but the Texas counties I am talking about tax privately owned vehicles each year. I believe there is a only a very small handful of Texas counties that do this. I know this because I have real estate in one of these counties.

Which ones, because a Google search returned absolutely nothing. Texas doesn't have a property tax on vehicles in any place I have ever heard of.
