Premier Health Network is moving their office headquarters downtown. This will immedietly bring 700 jobs downtown and possibly 1300 in the next few years. YAY! They are filling an empty building on First Street that is 22 stories.

Premier Health set to buy downtown office tower | Dayton Business Journal

I read from Forbes that although Dayton is the fifth emptiest city, it has the most aggressive campaign to come back using health care, aerospace, technology, and education. I guess they weren't lying.

Hope for the best, expect for the worst.........but seriously...this is great news for one of Ohio's cities that is trying to make a come back!

If they are vacating their skyscraper at 4th and Ludlow, it leaves another mostly-empty high-rise downtown. So it's just shifting the inventory of vacant square feet around downtown, from building to building.

The building at 4th and Ludlow doesn't have enough room though. So they're expanding intoa larger buidling that is more empty. The building at 4th and Ludlow still has other tenants and I'm sure will gain more after the leave.

Yet more good news! I guess Premier's decision to fill up a vacant building is having a snowball effect- directly across the street, Dayton's largest and tallest office building, Kettering Tower, was just purchased a few days after Premier's purchase of the Third and Main Street tower. The buyer is Bank of America and they will be moving their Ohio headquarters to the facility. Yay! Another win for Downtown Dayton! Keep them coming!

They aren't moving their "Ohio headquarters" to this building. They haven't even announced plans to do anything with the building... They just bought it, that's it.
