Are you sure?

If I were sitting somewhere like Montana totally unfamiliar with anything "back East" and wondering about applying for schooling or a job in "Greater Dayton" and looked in here to see nothing much posted day after day, I think I would seriously wonder if there was life in the place at all.

The statistics say there are people around, and the pictures show there are buildings around, but the lack of discussion in here would surely make some people wonder why there is an internet room for the place at all.

My opening statement tells said stranger that there really are people around, just not here at the moment as they may very well be down in Cincinnati. That makes a great deal of sense, so who is it who is posting like he/she doesn't have a brain in the head?

Why not explain yourself in the first place? Nobody in here knows what you are going on about, so it seems you have three fingers pointing back at yourself for making an obtuse statement such as this:

So, if you want to talk about Dayton, talk about Dayton.

I'll start: Got an e-mail from UD about an external makeover of the Roesch Library, encasing it in red brick so it looks like the other nearby buildings. I think this is a waste of money, and that it's no sin for a 1970s building to look like a 1970s building. What do you think?

Waste of money. I think they should update the UD arena area before they do anything else.

I think unceremoniously hijacking a thread isn't very nice.

There's plenty of room in this site for a thread about the U.D. library. In fact there's plenty of room for any number of U.D. topics.

I take no medications beyond cough drops and once in a great while an antacid tablet. Your attempts at creating a need for the latter also noted.

Ohiogirl81, I'll bet you even know the lyrics to "Wild Thing"!

Who's hijacking, unceremoniously or otherwise? You're observing that no one is talking about Dayton; I talked about Dayton. You're welcome.

Crew Chief, sir,

Is there any way of moving the second topic comments above to a more proper thread, such as the now established one?

It's obvious the lady doesn't understand about hijacking threads or some other things. Under the circumstances, I hate to be into formal complaints.

And, yes, I can copy the pictures and text and move them, but I don't see that ordinary posters should have to do such things.
