$10 Million Renovation Project On Tap at Wright-Patt
Quote:
The base on Thursday posted a notice it was taking names of potential vendors to renovate a 53,000-square-foot facility. That project — expected to take 18 months and cost between $5 million and $10 million — includes creating a new office and warehouse space.

Potential bidders — including small businesses and those certified as 8(a), HUBZone or Small Disadvantage Veteran-Owned — are being encouraged to register by Feb. 28. The project is being handled by the base contracting office.
Cybersecurity Firm Moves to Tech Town
Quote:
Tenet3 LLC focuses on consulting and strategy of cybersecurity-related topics. The company, which employs six, will move four employees into a roughly 500-square-foot space at Tech Town’s Creative Technology Accelerator, a move expected to be complete next week, said Jeff Hughes, president of Tenet3.

The company, which already has business from several government contracts, is looking to expand its customer base into more commercial work. The company employs reverse-engineering and cryptography experts and studies how to develop more secure data systems.

Both projects are really exciting. Agreed that MidPark is much needed for the area to link South Park/Brown St. to midtown Dayton, I'm just really glad it doesn't look like it will become a Kroger's (which was my biggest redevelopment fear at the site).
Or worse, another surface parking lot for Miami Valley Hospital.

Well, it's beginning. Walked into the Fairfield Commons Mall yesterday and Limited and the downstairs Bath & Body Works were closed. Jumped on the chance to ask Guest Services what was happening. H&M will move into the Limited, Bath & Body Works and old Express spaces. That is a lot of store front, but this store will supposedly hold all the H&M lines, including women's, men's and kid's. Opening is now slated for sometime end of May or June. Not sure if Limited or Bath & Body Works will seek to fill in some of the other vacant spaces. My guess is no.

The downstairs E-B space was boarded up with construction going on too.
