Call up Wright State's graduate office and talk through this with them. They have resources and can probably match you with someone else and place you even within walking distance of the university.

Good luck!
Yeah, I'll try contacting the department and see what they say. I'd love a place to myself (feel like I've outgrown the roommate situation) but if it's not doable, then it's not doable. Thanks!

Ah I see.

Then with your budget, try Fairborn and the apartments along Harshman. There should be some that would be available and in your price range, and the commute won't be bad.

If the apts near Salem you were referring to earlier were the Meadows of Captala, I'm under the impression those are ok and management does a good job on upkeep and tenant screening. Otherwise, equidistant from WSU and within your budget is Brown School Station, which appears to be decent and is certainly in a good neighborhood.

There's a surprisingly affordable ($850/month for a two bedroom) apartment complex next to the Beavercreek Golf Club that a lot of my classmates in some graduate level classes I've been taking at WSU live in. When I've studied at their apartments, I've noticed that the buildings seem to be kept up well, but they have really old gas stoves/ranges that some people are afraid of cooking on. As long as you're fine with cooking on gas, they seem like good places to be. I know there are also some studio and one bedroom apartments, but I don't know how much they cost.

I do really like those apartments (Wexford on the Green?) but I need to get a good strategy down for finding a roommate. I love cooking on gas, so that actually makes the apartments that much more attractive.

There is fairly active discussion on the Wright State Facebook page. If you "like" it, and then start a thread about wanting a roomate, you might be able to find someone.
