I'm looking to move to Dayton but I'm not familiar with the neighborhoods. Which ones should I avoid, which ones are geared toward the college bro types, which are more laid back etc. I have no idea what I'm doing and any local input would be greatly appreciated.

Many Dayton neighborhoods operate on a street-by-street basis.

Here's the handy-dandy questionnaire:

Please read and answer these questions so we can assist you on your move to the Dayton Region:

-Where you are working?
-How much you are willing to spend on housing?
-How long of a commute you're willing to tolerate
-If you have kids: Private school or public school?
-What type of neighborhood environment you are looking for: small town feeling? small city excitement? suburbia delight?
-Community amenities important to you?
-Pie or cake?

Welcome back Amandarthegreat, nice to see you around!

OP, I 100% agree with her. It's hard for us to help you without some kind of baseline for where you want to look.

Although it's easy to paint places with a broad brush, why do that when you have a wealth of knowledge here that knows the nuances of every neighborhood and suburb in the area? Not many places around here can fairly be evaluated with a broad brush approach.
