Seems how I don't see one, let's start one

I find it interesting that we seem to have as many restaurant openings and closings. I got a coupon in the "junk mail" for Don Patron on Colonel Glenn. Mexican food is one thing I like, has anybody been there to judge how good or bad it is?

The best Mexican restaurant I've been to in Dayton is Taqueria Mixteca on E. Third. It's not fancy and doesn't have sombreros on the walls, but it's damn good food, and cheap.
For Indian food, hands down Ajanta in Kettering. For Vietnamese, Linh's in Riverside. Thai of course would be Thai 9 in Oregon District.
I haven't eaten much pizza in Dayton, but Pizza Factory/South Park Tavern is good. Best beer is at Toxic in Oregon District. Best coffee around the corner at Press Coffee.

Pizza factory is good pizza, and Monday is BOGO night. I'm not a big Mex food eater, but I would have to agree that Taqueria Mixteca is probably the most authentic Mexican food in Dayton.

Any good Mediterranean places?

I wanted to go to Yaffa last time I visited. I've been to Pasha at the Greene and wasn't very impressed.

Ohio's obsession with Italian food ( i.e. 2,000 calories of noodles covered in Alfredo), burgers, Mexican, and Chinese (chicken covered in soy sauce and sugar)is so boring. My parents freaked out last time I tried to take them to a Thai place.

Eh, I haven't looked for much Med food in Dayton, compared to the great offerings they have in Columbus. Gyro Palace out by the Dayton Mall (I think they have one in Riverside too) was pretty good for a fast food gyro/falafel/kabab type joint.

Olive Mediterranean, hands down, is the best. I haven't had Mediterranean food this good since Italy.

That place looks amazing. I'll have to check it out next time I go up.

To transition to a new cuisine, the Texas Beef & Cattle Co on the corner of W Third St and Williams in the Wright-Dunbar neighborhood is a new coop BBQ restaurant that's been earning a lot of praise. I've had it once for breakfast and thought it was great.
