I haven't been to Dayton in 20 years. I was looking up old places that I used to frequent. I looked up Roosters and the Google pages listing said "Permanently Closed".

Anyone know why?

That area of West Dayton, particularly Fairview, Hillcrest, and Santa Clara neighborhoods, have been emptying out for a long time now. I was on North Main a couple years ago, first time since 2009, and was shocked to see so many businesses gone...particulrly south of Siebenthaler. It's just a hard hit area for crime and poverty, blight and vacancies.

Yes, that area is terribly depressed. I am surprised that it lasted as long as it did.

There is a new Roosters opening in Beavercreek between the Chick-fil-a and Target by the mall.

Cool! I live in Cincy now and love Roosters. Theres a few of them around. I guess Roosters split off from Frickers? Frickers has bombastic wings too. Any time Im in Beavercreek I stop at Giardanos for some authentic Chicago style pizza.
