The Mason/Centerville difference may not seem great, but it is the difference between an average of 2 Asian kids in a 15 student classroom and 1 Asian kid. That might make a difference for some people.
So might a 45 minute commute to Miamisburg from Mason, as opposed to a 10 minute commute from Centerville. .

Coming from Mason you would deal with some nasty traffic around Cinci.

The original poster asked about diversity. I answered the question about diversity.

The commute from Mason to Miamisburg is not that bad, if one lives on the west side of Mason -- 30 minutes at most.

I forgot Mason was outside the loop. My apologies.

Willabee -- you are right, though, that traffic in Mason can be bad if someone lives on the east side. It covers a very broad area. In parts of south Mason, you probably would get on I275 and then come up I75.

2. Which neighborhood would you recommend out of the 4 I mentioned above.

Thank you.
Curious as to how you picked out those particular suburbs? Two are relatively close to Miamisburg, and two are a pretty good distance. They're all also large enough to probably have good neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods within them.
If you're willing to drive as far as the Cincy suburbs, then you should also consider Beavercreek, Middletown, Bellbrook, and other similar cities. Heck, Miamisburg itself is not all that bad- I live here in a nice quiet neighborhood. Diversity is probably about similar to the other suburbs you've mentioned.

Thank you all for your replies. I thought I set up an automatic notification when a reply is posted, apparently something went wrong and I did not get a chance to read your comments until today... Again, thank you all very much.

I was in Dayton last week, and I finally picked Washtington Township for its tax benefits and closeness to centerville school system. I just rented an apartment there and will spend more time on school & house-hunting. It will take a while, I guess.

Anyways, I like the suburbs of Dayton a lot. It is going to be quite a change of pace for me...

^Very Good to hear.

Honestly, Dayton has to be the most under-rated metropolitan area in Ohio, maybe even the enitre country. There is a heck of a lot of bang for the buck living here, or if you get tired of Montgomery county, Cincy, C-Bus, and Indy are all right up the street.

Good luck with the move

She didn't ask which school has the highest Asian population, she asked what school has good cultural background. If you want something with an interesting mix of culture, background, race, income, and disability, I would suggest Stivers, Stebbins, Vandalia-Butler, Centerville, Northmont, Beavercreek, or Fairborn. Some extremely undiverse schools are Trotwood (Black) Tipp City (White) Bellbrook (White) Most Dayton Public Schools (Black) Brookville (White) and Troy (White). The rest are sort of in between. Of the examples you gave, I would suggest Centerville. It's around 3,000 students (prolly one of the biggest schools in Dayton) so you're gonna get alot of different people.
