just wondering about the Free Metformin, I have a current perscription at another store can i transfer it to meijer and get the free metformin , or would I have to get a new script from the doctor to be able to take advantage of this?

You could call or email the Meijer Pharmacy to find out. Sometimes they pay you extra for transferring an ongoing prescription. Here is their main page with lots of info:
