A friend recently offered me coupons that she said she had purchased. They had a high value. I was wondering, are these legitimate ? Thx for any reply.

Why would anyone buy them when there are so many available for free?

Some people like multiples and cannot get them any other way. Also, different areas have different (better) face values.

This is true.

The way I do it is to play around with zip codes on a variety of coupon sites online and then post the zip which offers the highest dollar amount. I also try to post how you can combine/stack coupons for free items when it is possible to do so.

There ARE forum type coupon sites online who have 'coupon trains' where they send each other coupons, but I've never participated in that.

I'm just so cheap, I can't imagine paying for coupons under any circumstances.

Thx so much to those who responded. Sorry it took a while to get back here. Computer problems.

I have one coupon for any Hefty product that goes up to $8.00. Another for a BIC Shaver, free up to $6.99. They look legit. She also had several for Arm and Hammer washing detergent. She bought like 6 big bottles. It just seems strange as I am used to .35 and .50 coupons. You never know with her and I wasn't sure about them.....LOL. I had visions of one of us being hauled off to jail....probably me.

Well Annie, there is always a good chance someone got access to super dollar coupons through a particular promotion. I do run into them and post them from time to time. I just wouldn't want to BUY them.

Best deal is to make a list of the products you purchase most frequently. Join their site or their Facebook page and they will send you great coupons on a regular basis.

If there weren't so many companies out there I would make a list of sites to join. As it is, I try to keep the best ones I find posted on the coupon thread. You can let me know if you are looking for anything specific and I'll try to help you find it.

Hi Annie! Welcome. I'm with Glory, I'd never buy coupons. But wow, those are some great high values, so if they work, why not? Often, when we get freebies, they include higher-value coupons, so that's nice too.

thx a bunch. I am not a regular couponer as I clip them, save them and then forget where I put them when I go into the store. Kind of like the green bags that I must have 50 of in the car and forget to take in. But I do recycle everything that I can and look for sales. I almost never buy anything full price anymore, even if it is just a few cents off. Again, thx for your kindness.

Starr, you and I are close. I am due east of you about 35 miles......? Glory, I am down I-4 about 25 miles SW ( I think) from Disney. Small world....OMG, I will be singing it the rest of the night....LOL

Ah, yes. I've heard of that but called a "round robin".
