Sorry about your friend, Flamingo. She has prayers going up from here.
More bad weather is on its way from Camper's area. I dont actually mind the bad storms as long as I dont lose power again. I ran a few errands just now so I could be inside when the rain/hail/lightning/thunder hits in about an hour.

We have the same stuff rolling in from the west. Of course, they have been forecasting it daily for about a week. I think it will hit this time. There is a close feeling in the air outside. It feels like tornadoes. They suck up the air and then hit like a train and sound like one, too. I had too much experience with them in Kansas. They are mean. They seem alive to me just like a wildfire does. Okay, enough mumbo-jumbo. I think things are going to get bad. We'll see.
Ok everyone, time to move to San Antonio. It rained for about 30 minutes yesterday and we got 3/4 of an inch. Nice steady rain. Then it left. The sun came out and that stinking grass is growing again!! Lol. Poor hubby's never going to get this house done if he keeps having to stop and cut the grass.
Speaking of my house, my counter tops come Tuesday!!!!!!

Oh Camp, the humidity would kill me in San Antonio. I love to visit San Antonio, though. I love the place. It has a unique and wonderful cultural mix. Now I'm hungry for some food from Mi Tierra if it's still around down there.

Yes it's still here! Havent been there in years though.
Yeah, when the huminity is bad my poor hair starts frizzing so bad I bet you can see it from your house. But that's what the Fro River is for. ICE cold but soooo good!!. The rest of the year is great. as long as you don't want any rain.
Yikes. Really bad storms this morning. High winds did a lot of damage. I hate spending so much time talking about the weather but we've had such unusually bad weather lately. OK for tomorrow and then Monday is supposed to be bad again.
I've been going through all my photos of Queenie. My daughter took this picture a couple of years ago. It was taken at Memorial Park after they had jogged 3 miles. The photo is one of my favorites. Hard to believe that it was 5 years ago that I adopted dear Queenie. She's @ 14 now and the love of my life.

Thanks so much, Bob! Queenie's vets are all amazed at how well she's doing, especially since none of them expected her to live this long with her congestive heart failure.
She really has good genes. Her heart issues are all due to her old age -- she was 12 when it first showed up. I've been told that one of her heart meds (the most expensive one) is the most-commonly prescribed dog medication of all. Of course, for small dogs it's not so expensive because they take smaller doses but, for a large dog like Queenie, the cost is almost prohibitive.
