Hoping you TX folks and others in affected areas are/will be safe with the wild weather.
Man we also most blew away yesterday!! We didn't get any of the hail to speak of but hubby's sister did. Got some baseball size. Far as they knew then it just blew out all the screens from the windows but man we got pounded with the wind!! Broke a few sets of my favorite wind chimes which is very sad but no real damage here. If it wasn't a new roof it probably would have blow off the old one.
Hey, Flamingo! Thanks so much for asking. No problems here. Storms have a habit of turning north right before they hit my immediate area. I got some rain but nothing else. Radar looked terrible so I medicated Lulu and she slept peacefully through the rain.
Camper, sorry about your wind chimes and window screens but glad you didnt have problems with your roof.
Thanks - we were just issued a tornado watch - might be a night to sleep in the main level spare room (except I found a centipede in that bathroom sink this afternoon - ACK)
All is well here except for terribly high winds today (and all day today) - I didn't know your sister had moved from Sp.
Hoping the power doesn't go out, our neighborhood is doing a meal train for a neighborhood family w/3 children and the husband has a serious, aggressive cancer. Today is my day to bring a meal, I did some prep yesterday but that hurt my hand enough that I had to give it a rest - I need the over today though. I planned to walk to their house which is 2 streets uphill from me - hoping I don't blow away, hehe (seriously though, 60 mph winds when you weigh 100 are enough to struggle with).
How nice of your neighborhood to support that family, Flamingo. Hope the wind blows against your back so the walk will be easier.
LOL - I'll take an umbrella and play Mary Poppins or the Flying Nun (w/o the habit)
