Update on my friend... the last specialist she saw thinks it's just muscle stretching (from being jostled in the accident) - he initially told her she didn't need the CT but called her today and says to have it done - better safe than sorry. They also ordered some kind of prism thing for her glasses so she can see.

Happy Anniversary Camper!

Good news about your friend, Flamingo. If I were her, though, I'd have every test possible run (if the doctor can agree). I was in an auto accident 25 years ago. I went to a doctor at the time of the accident but he couldnt find anything wrong -- and, since I wasnt having any pain at the time, I accepted his opinion. Then, @ 5 years later, my neck and upper back started hurting like heck. I went to another doctor who ordered xrays and an MRI, which showed damage, most likely from the accident. Too late to collect on auto insurance. I learned my lesson. As I said earlier, I'm not at all in favor of frivolous lawsuits, but sometimes you have to protect yourself for down-the-road issues.

Camper, great to see you back!!! I had that problem with my patio plants dying in the hot summer sun. Then I bought fake cemetery plants, which were lovely, but I got tired of their fakeness. So then I bought succulents from eBay. I love them. They're very attractive (no cacti or anything prickly) and actually dont like to be watered. I have them inside too and I water them once a year -- maybe twice, at the most.

Omg! I'm in heaven. Been raining all day, 3" so far but it's a slow rain. Temps in the 50's all day and I have the doors and windows open and a big pot of chicken & noodles on the stove.

Life is good.

We've had the same thing here, Camp. The polar vortex is going to swing down on us in a few days. I don't care. The rain has been so wonderful. No flooding but just good ol' raindrops that are more than a sprinkle. I love it.

I agree about the rain. it was so nice to have a slow, soaking rain one day.
