I don't know if it is just me or not, but while I am searching out freebies, I hate when I click a link and shipping and handling is involved or it is a chance to win something. To me, free is free. I get what is supposed to be free and it didn't cost me anything and I didn't have to enter to win. Done venting.

A lot of people don’t know this but "FREE" is a regulated phrase in sales. Many states have laws that define what "free" means and what conditions can be attached to that free item. I suspect it all started with taxation issues, but it has expanded to include limits on what attachments are required to get free, and even audits of cost of items without the free versus cost of same item with a free offer.
Of course, the TV ads with their "But Wait!" are the best because the shipping and handling on the bought and free item is usually more than the cost of that item off the shelf. So you buy one get one free plus shipping and handling or buy 2 and pay less off the shelf.
I can certainly understand your venting since I once was fooled by the "free" love movement; it cost me my freewheeling bachelorhood.
I agree. Although I'll post them here in case someone else wants them, I'll never pay for s/ h. I don't like putting my bank card online, & I surely won't do it for an unknown company.
They should make shipping optional. Just give the products away free to anyone willing to pick them up. Then free is free.
