Many thanks, MP1.

The second book on the list is a Skip Langdon Mystery by Julie Smith.
I love that series. Skip Langdon is a female sleuth in New Orleans. She was raised in a wealthy society family and when she decided to become a PI it hit the fan among her family members.

It's great fun to read Julie Smith's books. I certainly learned a lot about NOLA (New Orleans) and all that goes on there. Plus, I like Skip a lot. The books are not comedies. They are murder mysteries with just the right amount of humor to offset the bits of horror.

There are also three G.K. Chesterton books. Can't go wrong with that author. He's bodacious and clever.

Thanks, K. I see two Chesterton books but must be missing the third. I'm also a fan of his. I haven't read it in some time, but Dubliners by James Joyce was good.

There are two Skip Langdon series books listed, in case you missed one of them: New Orleans Mourning and Mean Woman Blues.

Did I ever happen to mention that I got all through college with nary a math course? It's the truth. The Chem courses nearly killed me, though. Anyway, that's why I couldn't count. Obviously, still can't.

You're right, of course. I counted Father Brown twice and totally missed the third Julie Smith book.

IMHO, anyone who can stick with James Joyce and "Dubliners" through to the end is a saint. That book nearly killed me and I did not finish it. When I was in Dublin 30 years ago they were reading it on the radio. I surfed until I found Van Morrison (a good Belfast boy don't ya know).

Eh, it was an easy mistake that has little to do with math. And come on - who doesn't prefer Van Morrison over James Joyce?? I recently put on both the Caravan and St. Dominic's Preview albums. And yes, I still play albums...lol.
