I went to WalMart and got a $100 tire put on my car early this morning. I didn't want to drive it on the do-nut tire to work tomorrow. I'm so thankful it blew out while I was driving slowly down a street...instead of when I whizzing along on the interstate.
Sudcaro, What did you think of the Homeschooling Magazine? I read in another forum that you are a teacher. I know we have several people on this forum who are involved in home schooling.
I never bother with keeping a list of stuff I ordered. Sometimes I don't even remember then until someone posts it on here. I just feel surprised when I get to the mailbox and find a freebie.
That's what I do. I just order, and when it comes, it comes. Sometimes I get a lot, sometimes I get a little. But when they do come, it's a surpise, because most of the time I don't remembering ordering it.

I think that's called "old timers"! I've had it for years!!

Well, I thought it would be aimed at everybody, but it's not.
From a teaching point of view, I'm disappointed because I thought it would mainly be based on pedagogy and such things, but it's actually very religion-oriented. I agree for religion as a subject among others, not as part of each and every subject. What's why I think it's not aimed at every homeschooling family.

Was the book from a religious site? Hmmmm. I was not aware that a certified home schooling program included religion.

I haven't a clue about the curriculum.
Concerning this magazine, it is a Christian magazine, quoting the Bible in most articles, seeing education in the light of belief.
So unless you are a Christian believer, this magazine in particular is not targeted at every home schoolers.
I didn't say it wasn't a good magazine, just that it's aimed at a certain population and does not only focus on pedagogy.

Oh, I see what you mean. Thanks for the explanation.
Well, pffffft.
I check my mailbox on the way to work this AM.
I hadn't picked mail since Thursday night.

Did get a book from Paperbackswap, though :-)
