O, Bob, it wasnt a bad experience at all. I truly loved it. I shouldnt have focused on the knuckle-rapping so much in my posts. Those incidents were infrequent and only when we did stuff like talk out of turn or pass notes in class. At least we were taught to respect our teachers and other elders...not like the brats in today's public schools.

Of course, all-girls' Catholic schooling was a very sheltered life and, when I got out in the real world, I was in for a real culture shock.

I dont know whatall your brothers went through. The guys I knew who went to the all-boys Catholic school seemed to really like it.

I'm not much of a rosary-sayer myself, but I do keep my own grandmother's rosary in my purse, just like my mom does. Just maybe it's keeping me safe. This rosary was sent from the Vatican on the occasion of my grandmother's 100th birthday; it was one of her most treasured gifts from that day.
I always have my rosary with me. One is always in my purse. I got it on a pilgrimage to San Juan de los Lagos in the mountains of western Mexico years ago. It is hand carved wood. As my grandmother would say "It's such a comfort to me."
