My name is Alan Hutcheson and I am the author of Boomerang, which was inspired very much by the Dortmunder novels of Donald E. Westlake. It is available in paperback or ebook and I have just set up a coupon on Smashwords.com for the ebook to be available to City-Data folks for free until October 10.

Here is the back cover copy to tell you a little about Boomerang.

Ted Hogwood's beloved Sarah, a jazz guitar, is in the window of Topp Dollar Pawn. The only way he can get the money to rescue her is to accept an assignment from the AABC, a not nearly official branch of the United States intelligence community. He is partnered with Jerry Kwiatkowski, master of the Hammond B-3 organ and chronic flatulence sufferer, to steal a boomerang containing secrets that should have died with J. Edgar Hoover over thirty years ago. It would be a simple job if only they knew what they were doing. And if a crossbow wielding assassin, two unemployed Australian women, The Director of Central Intelligence and a clothing optional former onion festival queen were not also hot on the boomerang's trail.

City-data folks can use this coupon code to download the ebook for free on Smashwords.

Coupon Code: PZ28D

COOL FIND Camper.....Thanks!!!!!

That coupon expired. Try ZZ85Z instead for a free ebook of Boomerang at Smashwords.com. The thread was removed by the administrator. I guess you can't offer free books here! Best, Plumboz

GloryB,

No problem. Today was the last day for the coupon. It may make a reappearance, I'm not sure right now. I hope you were able to pick up your copy.

If you enjoy Boomerang, please pass the word. Even without a coupon, it's pretty darned reasonable at a dollar on Amazon Kindle and ninety-nine cents at Smashwords (where it is currently at the top of the Bestseller Chart).

Independent authors are the literary equivalent of indie bands. If you find one (or more) that you like it's a good thing to support them so the music (or the books) can keep a comin'. Doesn't take much, but it makes a difference!

Best,
Plumboz

Default Extended to Nov 10

Since my initial note was bounced but there does seem to be some interest in Boomerang here at City-Data, I've extended the coupon that makes the ebook free from Smashwords.com

New coupon code: LF48K

Here's where to find it: Boomerang at Smashwords

Also available from Amazon both in paperback and for Kindle.

Boomerang at Amazon

Thanks,
Alan
