Oh my... I go away for a weekend and look where this forum takes off to!

It is kinda fun being on the "younger" side of a group... did I mention I have been mistaken more than once as my youngest son's granny? Did I say that right? So yeah, too often doing the "mom" thing inadvertently became a depressing issue.

I'm with elizamary about the age attitude... I told hubby when we moved here I am just beginning my second childhood. Kinda goes on the same line as counting birthdays "up" to 35 or 40, then going backward from there. So at that rate, when my youngest graduates from high school in 8 more years, I will be a more appropriate age to BE his mom!

elizamary... about the sagging, etc... has no one ever taught you the trick of standing on your head for an hour a day after 40? Supposed to make everything that "went south" head back "north" again. I haven't tried it yet, but that's a big old wives' tale where we came from! Couldn't tell you if it works, but check out some of those famous older southern women and take a guess!

Oh yeah, Thanksgiving in Dover... it will be here in Dover next Thursday (yes, the 22nd!), as well as most everywhere else in the good ole US of A!

Mary

Go to Sheraton Dover Hotel and click on the Thanksgiving Buffet in the Champagne Room, one time 2:00pm seating, quite a menu @ $24.00 per person, I'm considering it. There is also a buffet in Chops @ the same price but just a typical menu.

Boy this is an old thread........thanks for brining it back.

This year we will be spending Thanksgiving by ourselves since the family is too far away. Hubby and I decided to go out and I thought of the Sheraton but both of us wanted to try a place on Kent Island MD.
Just booked or I would consider the Sheraton.
Been meaning to go to Chops too. I wonder what it is really like. Anyone been there?
