Prob. hard to generalize, it prob. depends on the time of year, location etc. We lived in the northeast and had them occasionally and now are in the south and also have them occ. but def. not an abundance, I guess you can spray them or get an exterminator if need be.

It's not a big problem in the area. Friends live in different parts of DE and none of them have a problem. They see 3 or 4 bugs a year.

They seem to attach themselves to a particular place and congregate.
My brother had a lot of them one year because his home is in the woods and they probably were looking for a warm(er) place to hibernate or whatever you call what they do in winter.He remembered to close his storm windows this year and had none.
I have lived in a town for over 10 years and I have never seen one in my place.
Some of the places I work have them in abundance and other places have none.
I think the more trees and woods the greater likelihood of stinkbugs. They look like the aliens in Starship Troopers.

I haven't really had an issue with stink bugs. I'll find one here and there every once in awhile, usually in the fall.
