So me and the silly Collie are stopping for an overnight and 2-day browse next week. NUTS2uiam, THANKS for the motel rec!!

We'll be staying in the Rehoboth-Lewes area but are going to browse further North and West for some single, low-cost housing areas/neighborhoods (non-communities). Intend to check out the "Mils" areas - but do you have any other suggestions? This will be a WEEKDAY trip.

THANKS for any suggestions! XO (Good Lord, I'm so excited - haven't been away since my parents passed in 2010!!! )

I don't have any specifics but try looking in the "M's". Milton, Millsboro, and Milford. I know someone who recently bought a non community house in Millsboro. Gorgeous and plenty of land too. Happy hunting. Week looks good weather wise too. Let us know how the hotel works out. I always recommend it to people with animals.

Thank you, my friend. You are always most helpful, and I greatly appreciate that.

Don't know f you have this already or not but select property search and then put the city in. I put Muillsboro in and got a ton of listings, but obviously I have no idea what will work for you. Happy hunting.

I use Realtor.com for my searches. Since I am looking in different parts of the country it just makes things easier as opposed to using local sites. And I have been told by realtors it is the most reliable site. But I am sure Nuts's site will be reliable as well.

I suggest you do a full Sussex county search with the mapping activated. I use full county searches so I don't miss areas when going town to town. (You can also use zip codes).

A great way to use Realtor.com is to do a top to bottom search (when starting out with a new area). That means start the search with the most expensive properties and work your way down to the least expensive. I find this important as it gives me a quick idea of what is going on in an area. If I am looking in say western Virginia and my top to bottom search shows me trailer parks right from the start then I don't want that county.

Happy hunting!

Realtor is a great site too. The only one that I will not even look at is Zillow. They have data based in some far away galaxy and I am not sure if it relates at all to the real world.
